I was recently made aware of an article about problems with CLIA waived tests. This article was researched and written by Ellen Gabler from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. She has previously published an article about problems with newborn screening tests.

Rather than summarize these articles, I’ll leave it up to readers to draw their own conclusions. The point is that these articles deserve as much attention as the latest breakthrough that might appear in Clinical Chemistry.
